Meredith Freeman

Meredith is director of Fair Food Detroit. She provides strategy development and implementation that advance food equity in urban areas. In collaboration with community-based organizations, policy makers, and other funders, Fair Food Detroit strives to re-design the food system to provide access to healthy foods for all people.

Meredith brings broad experience in nonprofit management and community development. She has worked with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Citibank Global Community Relations, and Episcopal Charities of the Diocese of New York.

Meredith received a B.A. in psychology from Michigan State University, and an M.S. in management and urban policy from the New School University in New York.
