Anthony Garrett

Based in Washington, D.C., Anthony brings decades of experience in public policy advocacy and communications campaigns. He created and directed a national grass-tops public interest organization that successfully advocated for landmark legislation in transportation policy. He also ran a comprehensive communications campaign for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation that became the national model for implementation, and managed a successful marketing campaign using new media techniques in post-Katrina New Orleans.

Anthony worked with Dr. Hesterman on the 2008 Farm Bill, including winning support for a "food desert" study and obtaining $50 million for groups supporting healthy/local food for urban communities.

Anthony has a B.A. in political science from Colorado College. In 1994, Colorado College awarded him an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
